I was talking to a customer today and learned something I wasn't aware of.  I was always under the impression that to run a 64 bit Guest OS that you had to have a 64 bit Host OS.  It turns out that isn't the case.  As long as you have a 64 bit proc, the CPU virtualization features turned on, then it will work.  You can have a 32 bit host OS and a 64 bit guest OS.

What scenario would have a 32 bit OS? Since ESX is 64bit.
Do you mean running workstation?
Or MS virtual PC?
thanks

Well...This is under the Workstation and Server forum.  So. this would only be the case if you ar running Vmware Server or VMware workstation.  I don't know about the MS products and if they can do this.
