Hello,

I have a few servers that use USB dongles as license files. I am in the process of virtualizing those servers and am wondering how I can use the dongles still on the virtual servers. Thank you

You can use a networked USB Hub from a company like Digi and the way it works is that the hub has an IP address associated with it and you install a small program into your VM so that the hub or even one port on the hub looks local to that VM. Plug your dongles into that and it will pop up in the VM just like it is installed locally.  Good Luck to you.

A quick question about the small program - is it included with one of these ip enabled usb hubs, or is it something separate altogether that would need to be purchased?

Thank you
