Global Training Solutions Inc. Chooses Prometric™ Testing Solutions to Deliver the Certified Virtualization Expert™ (CVE™) Exam effective January 31, 2008.
VMTraining, Inc. Responds to the Demand of the Virtualization Market and Introduces a Brand New Certification for its Ultimate Bootcamp™ brand.
Wilmington, DE, January 31st, 2008: VMTraining Inc., a Global Training Solutions Inc. Company, today announces its decision to deliver its Certified Virtualization Expert™ (CVE™) through Prometric Inc. The exam will be made available in the US market to students who attend an official VMTraining Ultimate Bootcamp™ already being delivered across the United States and Canada through its existing IT training center partners. By providing the Certified Virtualization Expert™ exam along with VMTraining’s Ultimate Bootcamp™, VMTraining’s partners, who are already Prometric Testing Centers, can now offer IT professionals seeking certification the ability to be tested and certified outside of attending a software manufacturers authorized course, which typically focuses only on vendor specific technology and not necessarily the entire scope of what is happening in the virtualization market. The CVE™ creates greater value for students and training centers alike, and can lead to better opportunities, recognition, visibility in the marketplace, and potentially leverage one’s ability to earn more and improve their bottom line.
Prior to the CVE™, the only recognized virtualization certification available was through VMware® Authorized Classes, taught exclusively by VMware®. With over 99 different virtualization technologies on the market, VMware's VCP® Certification is specific to VMware’s product, and leaves out many third party tools essential to performing administrator functions in the real world. Also, because there was no way for a student to become certified in virtualization technologies outside of attending a specific VMware® Authorized Class, the cost to become certified was often burdensome and expensive.

The need for an exam like the CVE™ was necessary to allow independent training centers to be able to offer a more cost effective way for the student to receive training and establish credentials for themselves in order to perform and compete in the market place." said Scott Kanady, Chief Operating Officer for VMTraining, Inc.
By partnering with Prometric, VMTraining is able to provide to its training partners a world class secure testing platform, a structured testing environment for the student to focus on demonstrating their knowledge, cost efficient test delivery, and added value to VMTraining’s already comprehensive high quality training programs. Prometric’s reach, reputation as a global industry leader in test delivery systems, internal efficiencies and cost structure made the case for using them over other delivery systems available in the market.

Currently the test is scheduled to be made available through Prometric Testing Centers mid to late March, 2008. It will consist of 80 questions randomly drawn from a larger pool of test questions pertaining to the VMware Infrastructure 3.5 Ultimate Bootcamp™, and be 2 hours in length. The cost of the exam is $195.00 and the student must achieve a 75% grade or above, and sit an official Ultimate Bootcamp™ to receive the CVE™ designation from VMTraining, Inc. Ultimate Bootcamps™ are taught nationwide through VMTraining's extensive list of partners nationwide.
